As the season lurches from one crisis to another and with our beloved Posh holding up the rest of the Championship, in bottom place, we once again reflect on a day out that promised so much but delivered so little.

In his post match interview, Darren Ferguson was giving little away. Too many times this season Posh have been the architects of their own downfall, slack defending, schoolboy errors and a general run of bad luck that suggests we`ve broken a few mirrors.

Interestingly, although touching on our misfortune, Darren saw fit to praise the opposition remarking,

“We didn`t give ourselves a chance and that is disappointing.”

“Credit to Newcastle. I think you have seen the team that will win the league. And credit to Chris Hughton. He has stabilised the club. “

Cab we hope for a similar situation at London Road because at the moment we`re lurching back toward League One at an alarming rate.
