With Brighton to follow on Tuesday evening there`s not much time for reflection about the disaster on Saturday.

However, in an interview given to the local media, Darren Ferguson gave his thoughts on events remarking,

‘We were so lethargic in the first half that I nearly came down from the stand three or four times.”

‘We played with no tempo and no energy and I have no idea why. When we play at a fast tempo and with high energies we look a very good side, but when we don’t we look ordinary.”

‘I was glad to get into half-time only 1-0 down because they were causing us problems, but we made a few changes and we looked much better in the second half.”

‘We had the better opportunities from then on so we probably deserved a draw, but as I keep reminding the players you have to be ‘at it’ for every minute of every game in this league or you get punished.”

‘We played for 45 minutes and that’s not good enough. Credit to Huddersfield because it was a game they had to win to stay in touch with the play-offs and they dug in to achieve it.”

‘Luckily we have another game coming up straight away, but it’s away from home again and we haven’t done well on our travels lately.”

So come on lads let`s banish this one from the system!
