Posh – Ferguson Chases Second Place?

Despite only taking one point out of the six available in our last two games, Darren Ferguson remains confident that Posh can claim one of those two automatic promotion places.

In reality, with Leicester City so far ahead, it`s the MK Dons that we`re trying to chase down.

Currently, Roberto Di Matteo`s side are six points ahead of us with a game in hand, on paper it looks to be a huge gap but Darren is expecting his troops to rally with fifteen games to go.

Indeed, he`s hoping that the signing of Lee Frecklington could be the catalyst for his side to launch that promotion bid remarking,

‘The top two is still very much our aim. It’s a big challenge for us over these last 15 matches, but we definitely have the ability to close the gap on MK Dons and get past them.”

‘We can only concentrate on what we are doing and hope that it’s enough. It looks like we might have some injured players back next week which will help and with Frecklington here now we have more flexibility in the way we play.”

Personally, here at Vital Posh we`d be surprised if we were to grab that second automatic spot, we believe that we`ve left ourselves just that little too much to do, however, we`d happily accept the compensation offered by a play-off win at Wembley to secure promotion!
