Posh – Ferguson on Scoring Six!

I wonder what the odds would have been yesterday on Posh winning 6-3 at Cheltenham?

I`d imagine anyone who took a punt will be walking about with a smile on their faces today thinking about how to invest their fortune.

It really was a crazy game with goals, in the last quarter, going in with regular monotony.

Indeed, there was a lot to admire about our attacking play and after the match, in his post match interview; Darren Ferguson was quick to applaud his

sides attacking play commenting,

‘Some of our attacking play was amazing and we could easily have scored 10 given the chances we created.”

‘We are a great counter-attacking side and we proved it in this game. Cheltenham couldn’t cope with our pace and passing.”

However, Fergie, like us, was a little disappointed that Cheltenham managed to get back into the game in the early stages of the second half remarking,

‘I was a little disappointed that we weren’t out of sight by half-time because I knew Martin Allen would wind his side up and they did put us under some pressure after the break.”

‘But we kept playing ourselves and in the end it was a fantastic win. Our fans were tremendous as well and I hope they enjoy watching us as much as I do.”

Nine goal thrillers are rare and the excitement brought on by such a goal rush was intense, but Darren could have done without such excitement but still insisting it was great entertainment, commenting,

‘It’s not great for my heart at times, but this is much better than winning 1-0 all the time.”

We`ll second that Darren, any chance of a repeat on Saturday?
