Posh – Fry Doing Lincoln No Favours!

Returning from a day out late last night I couldn`t help buy notice all the grumbling from Lincoln City supporters relating to a possible transfer of Rene Howe.

Those associated with ‘The Imps` seem to believe that we owe them some sort of favour and that Howe should be given to them for a paltry fee.

Therefore, we think it`s some kind of poetic justice that Posh have announced they`ve accepted a bid of £150,000 for the player from an, as yet, unnamed club (but it`s not Lincoln!).

Speaking about the situation Barry Fry has commented to the Lincolnshire Echo,

‘I have spoken to Peter Jackson and Steff Wright about Rene and we have thrown a few figures about,’

“But the fact is someone has come in with a £150,000 bid which we have accepted and unless Lincoln can match it then I would say a move there would be unlikely.”

‘We want to strike a permanent deal rather than a loan and although I would like to do Lincoln a favour, business is business I’m afraid.’

Come on Imps, cough up let`s see the colour of your money!

Why wouldnt we grumble, allegedly set to go out on loan, then all of a sudden some mystery club comes up with a £150k bid. Are all Posh fans dim, or does that not strike you as sounding a bit suspicious?

Of course, Barry Fry speaks nothing but the truth though does he :O)

So its now a week since you posted this so why hasnt the money been taken and the player is still at Peterborough?
I think the offer was another figment of Barrys wild imagination.
