On the way home from London Road on Tuesday evening, after knocking Ipswich Town out of the Carling Cup, a lot of the banter exchanged related to the wonderful goal scored by Lee Frecklington.

Several people could be overheard suggesting it`s a cert to win our ‘Goal of the Season` competition whilst others were not so sure.

However, peaking about his strike after the game, Lee was under no illusions as to the enormity of his strike, remarking to the local media,

‘It was a great moment and the goal has to be up there with the best I’ve ever scored. I did score one from a similar distance against MK Dons for Lincoln once with my left foot, but that was a bit of a swing and hope.”

Let`s hope he can grace us with another of such majesty on Monday against Crystal Palace.
