Posh – In the Heat of the Moment!

We`ve all done it, we`ve all said things that on reflection were a little harsh and it would seem that Darren Ferguson is no different.

However, what we should recognise is that Darren has the humility and common sense to accept that what he may have said, with some harsh criticism after the Crewe game, might have been over the top.

Here`s what he had to say to the local press on the subject,

‘I am still learning and am quite new to this side of the game.

‘You walk out of the dressing room after a game and go straight to the Press – and perhaps I was a bit too critical.

‘Of course we were disappointed not to win the game and it was clear our standard dropped a little, but it was more a case of frustration because we all know how good we can be.”

‘I am never usually critical of my team in public because that’s not my style.’

A fine example of the learning curve serving its purpose!
