Reports are emerging that Posh turned down lucrative bids for two of their players on transfer deadline day.

With the club in turmoil over the departure of Mark Cooper, those in charge had to decide whether to accept bids, from unnamed clubs, for George Boyd and Craig Mackail-Smith.

Speaking about the situation, Barry Fry had this to say to the media,

‘We didn’t receive any offers for Joe Lewis, but we did turn down substantial offers for both Craig Mackail-Smith and George Boyd.”

‘We are delighted to keep them here because they are both key players for us and we don’t want to lose important players if we are going to make a real fist of staying up this season.’

Anyone care to guess who the clubs possibly might have been?
