What a fiasco!
All this focus on the January transfer window closure and once it ends there`s a perfectly legal way of still manipulating your squad further, courtesy of the superbly named emergency loan!
I can`t help thinking it`s a charade though! You let a player go and you need to bring another in to replace him, strange world we live in isn`t it?
Already this week we`ve witnessed George Boyd depart to Nottingham Forest and Mark Little arrive at London Road from Wolves, on such a system.
Now I`d like to know whether Forest suddenly found themselves devoid of strikers or were merely manipulating the system!
Either way, the arrival of Mark Little (not the Australian comic I hasten to add) slipped under our radar courtesy of a dodgy Prawn curry in midweek seeing me cuddling the porcelain for twenty-four hours or so as the body rid itself of a vile toxin I`d mistakenly digested, so we`d better do the decent thing hadn`t we.
Rather belatedly, us good folk here at Vital Posh (well me really) would like to take this opportunity to formally welcome Mark to London Road and we hope that his stay will be fruitful for both parties.
