Well Aberdeen certainly thought so!
With his father having led the ‘Granite City` to European glory the present owners obviously thought our very own Darren Ferguson could emulate his fathers achievements by putting him inline to be their next manager.
After sacking the previous incumbent, Jimmy Calderwood, Darren was, supposedly, in the frame until our very own Darragh MacAnthony put the mockers on their wishes remarking,
‘No disrespect to Aberdeen, but apart from sentiment and history involving his dad, why would the gaffer want that job? It’s not going to happen and anyway they couldn’t afford him!’
Absolutely wonderful put down!
