What do you think the score will be in Peterborough United`s Sky Bet League One match against Burton Albion on Tuesday?

Posh v Burton - Sky Bet L1

Peterborough United v Burton Albion
Location: ABAX Stadium
Date: Tuesday, 26th January, 2016
Kick-off: 19:45pm

Posh will look to get back to winning ways on Tuesday evening after suffering an unlucky defeat at Gillingham on Saturday.

Things won`t be any easier than they were at the weekend as the visitors will be the team that were toppled off the top of the League at the weekend and replaced by the Gills. Burton Albion head to the ABAX Stadium for the first ever time in the League and with two games in hand over the Gills will be hoping to get back to the top sooner rather than later.

The Brewers suffered a shock defeat on Saturday when they lost a one-goal half-time lead to go down 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury Town who scored the winner in the 93rd minute. That was just their second home League defeat of the season! They have suffered two Cup defeats at home this season, one of which was a three-nil stuffing by Posh in the FA Cup first round.

Their away form isn`t as good as their home form but Burton have still won 8 out of their 12 League matches while losing the other four which is still mightily impressive.

Burton have only played two away matches in December and January but they won both of them and kept a clean sheet. On their last trip, they beat play-off contenders Coventry City two-nil but they beat the current League leaders Gillingham 3-0!

If those two results weren`t impressive enough, the match before those two was away at another play-off chasing side Wigan Athletic and they came away from that match with a one-nil win so results against the top teams have been very good which is unlike Posh`s record against the top sides this season!

Posh dropped out of the play-off places on Saturday after suffering a 2-1 defeat at Gillingham. They are now two points behind Millwall in 6th place but a massive 13 points behind second placed Burton Albion!

At home, Posh have won four and drawn two of their last six League matches. The last home match was a disappointing goalless draw with Southend United who parked the bus for the majority of the match and went away with the point they came for. Surely Burton won`t be as negative as the Shrimpers were?

Since manager Graham Westley took over at Posh, he has seen his side win seven of their eleven home matches while only losing two of them. The last three home matches have also seen Posh keep a clean sheet.

The one League clash between the two sides came at the Pirelli Stadium back in August. A goal either side of half-time gave the home side the lead before Gaby Zakuani was sent off for Posh just before the hour mark. Despite going down to 10-men, Posh did get a goal back through Marcus Maddison but they couldn`t get an equaliser.

Posh did gain revenge in November though when they won three-nil at the same location in the FA Cup first round. Conor Washington struck a goal in each half with Jermaine Anderson completing the scoring. Sadly neither of those two players will be in the side but Jack Baldwin will be and he has reason to remember that game as well. It was his first game back from a long-term injury and he entered the fray in the 89th minute only to make the sad walk back to the dressing room less than a minute later after receiving a straight red card for a mis-timed tackle!
