The double sending off`s, against Derby County, mean that Posh manager, Mark Cooper, will be down to the bare bones centre back wise on Saturday.

Posh, keen to kick-start a climb out of the relegation places, face a difficult trip to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday.

Thankfully, knowing that with Ryan Bennett and Craig Morgan missing, Gabriel Zakuani has pledged to play through the pain barrier to assist Posh.

Zakuani has been suffering with a groin injury but will be undertaking a pain killing injection to enable him to play and has remarked to the local radio station,

“I`ll play through the pain for the team and I`ve had a pain killing injection to speed up the process.”

“I am going to all lengths to make sure I`m fit enough to play on Saturday.”

Gabby has, also, spoken with Mark Cooper about having to play out of position. Recently he`s been filling in at right back, prompting Gabby to remark,

“I had a word with the manager and told him that I want to play in the centre because that is my position.”

“Everyone would agree it`s my best position and he was happy with that.”

Interestingly, it seems an age ago since Gabby joined us on loan and was part of a Posh side that never lost when he was playing, in reality though it was a little over a year ago. How times have changed!
