The man in charge of the npower Championship match between Charlton and Peterborough United is IAIN WILLIAMSON.

Berkshire based Williamson referees only his third Championship match of the season as Posh travel down to the capital to face an in-form Charlton side.

Posh had the pleasure of Williamson refereeing them twice last season. Firstly in the entertaining 4-3 Carling Cup first round win over Stevenage and then in the 3-2 home league win against Derby County. Let`s hope Posh can make it three wins in a row with Williamson in charge.

Three yellow cards were issued during the Stevenage game. Posh defenders Gaby Zakuani and Ryan Bennett both received cautioned while current Posh captain, Michael Bostwick, was cautioned for the hosts. Four yellow cards were issued in the Derby match but just one went to Posh. It was defender Ryan Bennett again who received Poshs only caution.

Charlton also had Williamson referee one of their games last season. On the final day of the season, Charlton came out on top against Hartlepool. No cards were issued during that match as Charlton came back from 1-0 down to win 3-2.

So far this season, Williamson has refereed 14 matches showing 47 yellow cards and two red cards.

His last match was on Saturday in Walsall where Hartlepool battled to a 1-1 draw. Three yellow cards were shown in that match with two of them going to the home team.

The assistant referees for the Charlton v Posh match are Nicholas Kinseley and Adam Crysell. The fourth official is Stephen Daly.
