The man in charge of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy Semi-Final match between Newport County and Peterborough United is TREVOR KETTLE.

Trevor Kettle

Trevor Kettle referees his second Posh match of the season and second Cup match! Kettle was the man in the middle when Posh travelled to Essex to face Colchester United in the first round of the Capital One Cup, which Posh won 5-1.

That match wasn`t the first time Posh have had Kettle officiate them. In fact that was the tenth time with Posh having won eight of those matches while only losing once! That defeat came back in 2004/05 when Bournemouth were victorious at London Road.

This match will be the first time Kettle has refereed a Newport game.

So far this season, Kettle from Rutland, has refereed 15 matches issuing 51 yellow cards and 2 red cards.

His last match came last weekend in the Championship when he took charge of the 3-3 draw between Leeds United and Watford. Both sides received one yellow card each.

The assistant referees for the Ironsides v Posh clash are Wayne Barratt and Adam Nunn. The fourth official is Andrew Madley.
