The man in charge of the Sky Bet League One match between Rochdale and Peterborough United is ANDY HAINES.

Tyne & Wear based official Andy Haines is starting his eighth season as a Football League referee.

He has taken charge of Posh on seven previous occasions while Rochdale have had the official 15 times.

The last time he officiated a Posh match came towards the end of the 2013/14 season when Posh traveled to Bradford. Posh lost one-nil and also had Shaun Brisley sent off for two bookable offences! Former Posh left-back Adam Drury was the only other player to receive a yellow card.

Of the seven matches refereed by Haines, Posh have won just two of them and drawn one. They have lost the other four matches including the last three matches officiated by Haines! Hopefully Posh can stop the rot on Saturday.

Haines took charge of Rochdale at the start of April this year. Dale beat Port Vale one-nil thanks to a goal from Calvin Andrew in the 90th minute! Four yellow cards were issued during the game with both sides receiving two each.

Dale have only lost three of their 15 matches with Haines in charge while winning 6 and drawing the other six matches.

Last season, Haines refereed 33 matches issuing 91 yellow cards and 11 red cards!

The last match he refereed was the final weekend of April when Scunthorpe United came from a goal behind after just two minutes to beat Gillingham 2-1. That result meant they were safe from relegation but the match was held up for 27 minutes because of torrential rain!

The assistant referees for the Rochdale v Posh clash are Wayne Grunnill and Alix Pashley. The fourth official is Barry Cropp.
