The man in charge of the npower Championship match between Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough United is DARREN DRYSDALE.

Lincolnshire based Drysdale takes charge of his 12th match of the season as he oversees bottom four teams Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough United. Of the previous 11 matches, he has shown 37 yellow cards and two red cards (both of which were issued to Nottingham players – County`s Sheehan and Forest`s Guediora). The last Championship match he took charge of was two weeks ago when Nottingham Forest won 3-1 at home to Cardiff City. Four yellow cards and one red card were shown in that match.

Last season, Drysdale officiated in forty-three games dishing out one hundred cautions and sending off five players. Of those games, 29 yellow cards and two reds were issued in thirteen Championship matches.

The last Posh match Drysdale officiated was in October last year when Posh lost 2-1 at home to Doncaster Rovers. Four yellow cards were issued in that match with George Boyd being the only Posh player to be carded.

The Owls had Drysdale officiate them twice last season and they won them both. The first match they beat Exeter 3-0 at home while winning 1-0 away at Leyton Orient in the second match. Let`s hope they don`t make it three wins in a row with Drysdale in charge!!
