Former Posh captain, and fan favourite, Tommy Rowe, has today made the step back up to the Championship, penning a two year deal at Wolves. The 25 year old midfielder joins the Molineux club after seeing out the remaining year on his contract at the Posh. Rowe made 175 appearances and scored 21 goals for the Posh in a 5 year spell, but made his intentions clear at the end of our Championship relegation season.
One of Rowe’s fist games for the West Midlands side will be against Posh at London Road, when Kenny Jacket brings his side to Peterborough for a pre-season friendly on Tuesday 22nd July.
Posh have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks, most notably, former Crewe loanee Chuks Aneke, who is out of contract at Arsenal. But should Aneke sign, he would not be a like for like replacement for Rowe, so Posh will undoubtedly be looking for someone to fill his boots.
