Peterborough United youngsters Shaq McDonald has joined Chester City on loan.
Young Posh striker Shaq McDonald has agreed a 3-month loan spell at Conference side Chester City.
The 17-year-old nearly joined local outfit Histon but terms couldn`t be agreed before Darragh MacAnthony voiced his frustrations on twitter that Shaq could easily be playing in League Two: “I cannot believe there is not a queue of clubs in L2/Conference Premier to sign young Shaq on loan. Average 2 goals a game nearly. Poor scouting!”
It wasn`t long before someone took a punt and negotiated a deal to take the prolific striker on loan.
“The power of social media strikes!! Looks like my young prolific striker will tomorrow be joining a Conference premier club on loan!” tweeted MacAnthony.
McDonald couldn`t stop scoring last season when playing for the youth team and reserves but with first team chances limited at Posh, a loan move was the best option for the youngster who Posh signed from Chasetown.
Chester have been searching for someone to fire goals for them as they currently sit in 21st place in the Conference after picking up 4 points from their 7 matches.
