Six of the top seven sides all face each other this weekend in what looks like an entertaining set of fixtures.

Peterborough United remain top of League One despite them dropping their first points of the season in a goalless draw at Doncaster Rovers last weekend. Will the curse of the Manager of the Month Award for Posh boss Grant McCann see them lose their first League match this season when they host Bradford City?

The Bantams were Play-Off Final losers last season and have seen a number of personnel changes during the summer but that hasn`t

Shrewsbury Town are level on points with Posh but they have a very tough looking match at home to Wigan Athletic. The Latics have a game in hand on all the sides in the top six and could potentially go top if they win that by more than two goals?which is quite probable as it`s against the Cobblers! This will be an interesting battle as it pitches what has to be the success story of the season so far against a side fresh from the Championship and who want to bounce back at the first attempt.

The other clash between the top clubs takes place at Glanford Park between Scunthorpe United and Blackpool. The Iron were the League One front runners last season and lost in the play-off semi-finals to the eventual winners Millwall. They`re not right at the top this season, they`re only two points away while the visitors, the Tangerines who won the League Two play-offs last season, are a point behind them in seventh place.

Charlton Athletic are the other side in the six and who are just a point behind the leaders. They have a home match against a Southend United side who haven`t really got their season up and running yet although they have only lost one of their five League matches while drawing their last three!

Another side with just one defeat and three draws is Doncaster Rovers and they also find themselves on the road. They face the side who are rock bottom of League One but who have just installed a new manager in Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Northampton Town will be hoping to finally get off the mark and impress the new Cobblers boss at the same time.

Oldham Athletic are the only other side in League One without a point. Despite making a trio of loan and free signings during the week, the Latics face a tricky task when they travel to a Fleetwood Town side who are just outside the play-off places.

One place below the Cod Army are Oxford United who host the team one place above the Latics, Gillingham. The Gills had taken a total of 439 minutes spanning more than four and a half league and cup games this season to score their first goal of the season and within 24 minutes, they`d scored three! That wasn`t enough for them to earn their first win of the season as they could only draw 3-3 with Southend United. By contrast, the Yellows have scored 16 goals in 7 matches in all competitions this season including six in a CheckaTrade Trophy match at Stevenage. They`ve only failed to score in one match this season which ended in a one-nil defeat at Scunthorpe United.

One point above the Gills are Rochdale who have a home tie against a Blackburn Rovers side who look like they`ve finally found their feet in League One. Rovers lost their opening two League matches before winning their next two. They had a weekend off last week due to international call-ups. Dale have yet to win this season but they have drawn three of their five matches, two of which ended goalless!

Just one point outside the relegations places are four teams: MK Dons, Bury, Plymouth Argyle and AFC Wimbledon. Will any of them fall into the dreaded bottom four after the weekend matches? Coincidentally, the Dons face a trip to fellow strugglers Argyle.
