Peterborough United defender and captain Jack Baldwin has landed a two match ban.

With the upcoming weekend being an “International” weekend giving the Premier League and Championship clubs a weekend off, Posh captain Jack Baldwin will also be sitting back to watch the football on offer at the ABAX Stadium.

Baldwin was controversially sent off at the weekend at Oxford United after picking up two yellow cards but the second card was very harsh as it was more of a “coming together” challenge rather than a foul worthy of a yellow card!

It is the second time this season Baldwin has had an early bath which means the ban he receives this time is for two matches meaning he will miss the weekend clash with Bristol Rovers and the big clash at play-off hopefuls Rotherham United on Good Friday [30th March].

Luckily, fellow central defender Ryan Tafazolli is fit again and has been chomping at the bit to get back in the side but has had to make do with a place on the substitutes bench for the last two matches. He will now come back into the starting line-up alongside former Newcastle United captain Steven Taylor who has been a rock in the defence for Posh this season.

Don`t forget to vote in the following polls that are running at the time of print:
