POSH MAKE TRIO OF SIGNINGS
Posh have been taking their time to bring the right players in and three newcomers all arrived within a day or two of each other!
The first arrival was a goalkeeper on loan. Jonathan Bond has come in from Championship side Reading and was joined on the plane to Spain by striker Jack Marriott. Marriott has joined from Luton after a hefty fee was agreed.
The third arrival was the day after the players had arrived in Spain. Midfielder Michael Doughty agreed terms following another sizeable fee was paid out by Posh, this time to Queens Park Rangers.
SMITH HEADS TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE
Right-back Michael Smith has been sold for a nominal fee to Scottish Premier League side Heart of Midlothian.
The Northern Ireland International has agreed terms on a two-year deal.
ONE CONTRACT, TWO RIGHT-BACKS!
Posh will soon have two players at the club battling it out for one right-back contract!
Liam Shephard is a free agent after his contract expired at Premier League Swansea City but Posh have also agreed terms with another Premier League outfit to bring another right-back on trial at the club.
Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed that Posh are only looking to sign one right-back though!
OTHER POSH NEWS
The following are a few other pieces of news to come out relating to Posh:
Posh have arranged another pre-season friendly. This one is against the side Lee Angol and Harry Anderson helped to win the National League title last season. The match, against Lincoln City, will take place at Sincil Bank on Saturday, 22nd July, the same day and time as the match at local club Deeping Rangers!
New Posh striker Ricky Miller has received a six-match ban but has issued a statement explaining what happened.
Posh have accepted a bid for striker Luke James. His agent is now negotiating terms with his potential new club.
POSH RUMOUR MILL
Derby County are believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation with Marcus Maddison. They`re not expected to make a move until Tom Ince moved to Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town which happened yesterday [Tuesday, 4th July].
Posh had one eye on Newcastle United`s England Under 20 goalkeeper Freddie Woodman before opting to sign Jonathan Bond from Reading on loan.
Bradford City full-back Tony McMahon was interesting Posh before agreeing a new one-year contract for the Bantams.

OTHER NEWS OF INTEREST
Former Posh midfielder George Boyd has joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday after his contract at Premier League side Burnley came to an end.
While Boyd has departed Burnley, The Clarets are trying to bring another former Posh player to Turf Moor. Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga has been the subject of a failed £8 million bid by the Premier League side.
Utility player Charlie Lee has joined National League side Leyton Orient. The 30-year-old former Posh man was released by League Two side Stevenage at the end of last season.
Norwich City defender Russell Martin has signed a new contract to keep him with the Championship club until 2019. The 31-year-old Scotland international has made more than 300 appearances for the Canaries since joining from Posh in 2009.
Salisbury boss Steve Claridge came out of retirement at the age of 51 to play in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. Claridge, who retired in 2012, started in the 3-0 defeat by Portsmouth.
Details of the invited clubs to this seasons EFL Trophy have been announced along with the full details of the competition and draw dates.
There`s been a rather unpleasant whiff around Crystal Palace this summer. The clubs pitch has been invaded by microscopic parasites which are being treated with liquid garlic which is about 100 times as pungent as your normal garlic!
