The results are in for the Vital Posh Player of the Season and the Positional Awards for 2017/2018. Who was the Peterborough United Goalkeeper of the Season?

With the departure of loanee Luke McGee at the end of last season, Posh brought in three goalkeepers for this season; two permanent signings and one loan signing.

Teenager Josh Tibbetts impressed the Posh management at the back-end of the 2016/17 season when he had a trial and went on to sign a deal with a view to challenging for the number one slot. Sadly for Tibbetts, that challenge never materialised but he has been impressive while out on loan.

The two goalkeepers that did rival each other this season were Reading goalkeeper Jonathan Bond and 23-year-old Irishman Conor O’Malley. O’Malley wasn’t signed until after the start of the season so Bond was in the box seat and went on to make 45 appearances in all competitions with O’Malley making 13 appearances.

Both keepers did well for Posh but at the same time did make the odd mistake but on the whole, it was good to have two goalkeepers capable of performing well in League One.

The voting resulted in a similar split to the number of appearances by the pair with O’Malley picking up 21.43% of the votes which means the winner of the Vital Posh Goalkeeper of the Season for 2017/2018 is JONATHAN BOND with 78.57% of the votes.
