The result of the season! Posh thoroughly deserved their win over Championship table toppers Cardiff City although the scoreline didn`t reflect the overall match.

Posh should`ve been comfortably ahead of their Welsh hosts had it not been for the outstanding performance of the Bluebirds goalkeeper.

The confidence in the squad certainly seems to have finally returned along with a gritty determination to keep the opposition at bay?could it be because of the return of influential Gaby Zakuani?

Darren Ferguson isn`t a fan of loanee players but the difference Dwight Gayle and George Thorne have made to the team has been remarkable.

Gayle is due to sign a permanent deal in January but unfortunately the current agreement with Dagenham and Redbridge means he will head back to the Daggers for the rest of the season on loan! Surely Posh must convince Dagenham otherwise so he can stay at Posh and help them move up the table?

Thorne is still a teenager but he is a massive presence in the centre of the Posh midfield. He is calm on the ball, puts himself about and makes some excellent passes. If I were Darragh MacAnthony, I`d push the boat out in an attempt to sign him permanently but he is surely destined for greater things and maybe even an England career!

With so many good performances, who won the Man of the Match?
