The Vital Posh Man of the Match Poll is now up and running for the Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Brentford.

Joe Newell v Brentford

Posh suffered yet another defeat which now means they have won just two times in 13 league attempts!

They were outplayed by a confident, hard working side which looks destined for automatic promotion.

The referee didn`t help as he had a very poor match but Posh can`t hide behind the referee every week.

Joe Newell started the game off well but fell away the longer the match went on and the same can be said about Jermaine Anderson. Jack Payne battled well throughout the match while fellow midfielder Danny Swanson also had a very good game which begs the question “Why did Fergie take off Swanson when he was playing well and not Newell or Anderson?”.

The same question can be raised when Mark Little, who was a constant threat down the Posh right hand side, was taken off. Surely Anderson should`ve been taken off instead?

Nicky Ajose was a surprise starter after being recalled from his loan spell at Swindon Town and you could see the good effect that the loan has had as Ajose looked lively and was a threat. Hopefully this could kick-start his Posh career.

What did you think to the players performance?

Rate the players below and the player with the best rating will win the Man of the Match.

The poll is open until noon on Wednesday [8th January].
