The Vital Posh Man of the Match Poll is now up and running for the Capital One Cup match between Sunderland and Peterborough United.

Ki takes out Lee Tomlin 2

After putting everything into their previous League match on Saturday where they played the majority of the match with ten players and even some of the match with just nine men, Posh boss Darren Ferguson decided to keep the nine men in his starting line-up for this Capital One Cup match.

It was a decision that may have back-fired as first Lee Tomlin was “taken out” after making a number of dangerous forages into the Sunderland half. His departure after just 10 minutes was a massive blow for Posh who never really recovered from his loss through injury. Later on in the game and Tommy Rowe was next to go off injured.

Posh were poor in the first half while Sunderland were not that much better! The second half was more even but Posh rarely threatened the Sunderland goal.

It was a disappointing result but an even worse injury list to add to the suspended players for this weekend`s League match with Rotherham.

What did you think to the players performance?

Rate the players below and the player with the best rating will win the Man of the Match.

The poll is open until midnight on Monday [30th September]. Results will be announced the following day.
