Defender Scott Wootton has returned to his parent club Manchester United after picking up what appears to be a small tear in his calf.

Wootton had been a regular in a Posh side that has made a comfortable start to life back in the Championship.

He has made 4 League and Carling Cup starts for Posh and 4 substitute appearances.

He is back at Old Trafford having the injury assessed but it is hoped he will return to London Road when fully recovered.
