Peterborough United have signed Bournemouth midfielder Josh McQuoid on loan.

Josh McQuoid signs on loan for Posh

The 24-year-old has seen little action this season featuring just once for the Cherries after suffering an injury in pre-season but the Southampton born midfielder has racked up over 140 League appearances notching 20 goals.

McQuoid started his career at Bournemouth before moving to Millwall in a £550,000 deal. Things didn`t work out and was swapped with Scott Malone in May 2012 and headed back to the Cherries.

He played 39 times for Bournemouth last season coming off the bench 14 times and scored 5 goals. He has also represented Northern Ireland at Under 19, Under 21, “B” and senior level.

Posh Chairman Darragh MacAnthony is delighted to get the Northern Irish International as he tweeted: “Happy to announce Josh McQuoid has joined us on loan. A pacey attacking midfielder who can play wide or behind front players. Welcome Josh!”.
