Keeper Dilemma For Fergie

Sir Alex isn’t the only one in the Ferguson family who has a dilemma over who is the number one keeper at their club as his son Darren faces a tough choice ahead of Saturdays match against Bristol City.

Over the past few months, Sir Alex Ferguson has swapped between Anders Lindegaard and David De Gea. Both are good keepers but both have their faults and it is a tough choice as to who should get the nod.

Darren Ferguson has a similar tough choice to make as current number one Joe Lewis is a good keeper but he has made the odd clanger.

Paul Jones is also a decent keeper but he has also made mistakes during his time in goal while he was first choice keeper for the first four months of the season.

With Lewis making another mistake on Tuesday night which gifted Cardiff their first goal, could Fergie junior revert back to Paul Jones for this weekends must win game against fourth from bottom Bristol City?

Darren Ferguson said: “Joe certainly isn`t the only player who has made an individual mistake recently, but when it happens to a goalkeeper it is always highlighted massively because it tends to lead to a goal.

“Joe is no different to anyone else though and I clearly have a decision to make there.”

Whoever is in goal on Saturday, everyone should get behind him and the rest of the team.

The next two matches are classed as ‘six pointers’ so it is vital we back the team as two wins would go a long way to reaching our goal of Championship survival.
