What are the Notts County managers and players saying about the upcoming match with Peterborough United?

Notts County Away

The Magpies won their first match of the season on Tuesday when defeating Fleetwood Town 3-2 in the Capital One Cup. That match followed a narrow 2-1 opening day defeat at the hands of Sheffield United.

Those opening matches combined with their impressive pre-season performances against the likes of Galatasaray, Rayo Vallecano and Ipswich Town, the whole club is feeling confident for the season ahead.

New signing, Mark Fotheringham, from Ross County believe they have nothing to fear when Posh turn up on Saturday and that they can take maximum points from the game as he said: “Peterborough are a good side and they`ve got Championship experience there, but I don`t think we should fear any team in this league.

“It`s a very even playing field and you`ve got to go out there, get on the front foot, put the tackles in, move the ball around and just look to be positive.

“If we do all the things that we`re good at, I`m sure we`ll be alright.

“I watched the Football League Show late last Saturday evening and I`ve seen the favourites in the league.

“I`m glad they`re favourites because I`m sure we can be in that mix.

“We`ve got to keep believing that we are good enough and we showed that on Friday evening against Sheffield United, even with 10 men.”
