Peterborough United have turned down a bid for right-back Mark Little from League Two outfit Rotherham United.

Millers boss Steve Evans confirmed an undisclosed offer for the 23-year-old had been turned down by Posh: ‘Peterborough United turned down our offer after Barry Fry spoke to the manager Darren Ferguson.

‘I will now speak with the chairman Tony Stewart and should he wish to increase the offer we have made, then we will do so in a private and confidential manner with Peterborough United.’

Signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Little has started 76 games for Posh while coming on 14 times from the substitutes bench since he joined the London Road outfit during the 2009/10 season.
