Posh’s League One rivals, Swindon Town, have signed young Spurs winger Alex Pritchard on a season long loan, ending hope of a London Road return for the youngster.

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony spoke of his interest in bringing Pritchard back to the club, and said that the player wanted the move, but his parent club, Tottenham Hotspur have sent him on loan to The Robins’.

His move to Swindon will see him return to London Road for the opening day of the season, as The Robins’ are Posh’s first opponents in what will hopefully be a very brief stay in League One.
