Vital Posh looks at the form of both Peterborough United and Millwall ahead of the npower Championship clash at London Road.

Posh came away from Saturdays clash with Crystal Palace on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline but there were positives to take out of the match.

Millwall were also on the wrong end of a 2-1 defeat by promotion chasing Reading at the weekend.

Peterborough United

Posh were looking to make a good start to their eight League games in March last weekend when they traveled to London to face a tricky tie against Crystal Palace. Despite dominating the first 30 minutes of the match, they suddenly switched off for the rest of the match which allowed Palace to get more into the game and claim a narrow 1-0 win which they just about deserved.

That defeat meant Posh still hadn`t won away from home in 2012. Luckily, their home form is slightly better. Out of the four League games played in 2012, Posh have won one, drawn one and lost two.

So far this season at home, Posh have won seven, drawn two and lost six.

Posh have netted 31 times at London Road while conceding 25 goals. Only Southampton have scored more goals at home than Posh but unfortunately, only four teams have conceded more goals at home than Posh!

Skipper Grant McCann and striker Paul Taylor (pictured below) are the leading scorers for Posh this season with 8 League goals each. Emile Sinclair and Lee Tomlin are just behind them on seven goals while new recruit Tyrone Barnett, who scored on his debut for Posh last Saturday, has 14 League goals, 13 of which were scored for Crawley Town.

Posh are currently in 18th place with 38 points from 33 games. They are looking to reach 50 points as quickly as possible and with eight of the remaining thirteen League games left to be played at London Road, this should be a target they should reach. Posh are currently four places and ten points from relegation.

Posh have also gone an amazing 108 League games since playing in a goalless draw!!

Millwall

Millwall are just one place and four points behind Posh in the Championship having won just three games away from The New Den while drawing four and losing nine. They have scored just 16 goals away from home in their 17 League matches and have conceded 24 goals so matches are usually quite close.

Millwall`s last match on their travels saw them win impressively at Burnley, beating them 3-1. Prior to that, they drew 2-2 at Brighton while at the start of February, they faced to top two teams in the Championship, although one match was in the FA Cup. In those two games, they came away from Upton Park with a narrow 2-1 defeat while in the FA Cup, they beat Southampton 3-2!

It looks like Millwall have turned the corner on their away matches and are producing some good results while their home results have gone in the opposite direction!

Top League scorer for Millwall is Darius Henderson who has scored 13 League goals! Liam Trotter is second top scorer with 6 goals while Liam Feeney and Jay Simpson both have 4 goals.

Millwall are in 19th place with 34 points from 33 games.
