Peterborough United face a trip to Portsmouth in the Capital One First Round but FIVE kids can get into the match for just £1 each.

Capital-One-Cup-3

Posh have been drawn away again in the first round of the Capital One Cup but this time face a hefty trip down to the south coast to face League Two side Portsmouth.

Posh reached the third round of the Capital One Cup last season after winning 5-1 at Colchester United in the first round and 6-0 at home to Championship side Reading in the second round. Posh went down 2-0 to Premiership Sunderland in the third round after losing talisman Lee Tomlin to a crude foul.[pictured below]

The first round match of the 2014/15 season will take place in the week commencing 11th August but the sponsor of the League Cup, Capital One, has teamed up with all 72 Football League clubs to launch an offer where up to five children`s tickets can be bought for just £1 each at all Round 1 matches with each paying adult.

Chief Marketing Officer at Capital One, Jaidev Janardana, said: “After a fantastic summer of sport we`re delighted to be back and kicking off the football season with our third Capital One Cup.

“We wanted to make Round 1 as family friendly as possible and we hope our great offer will encourage parents across the UK to treat the whole family to a host of great games, and, no-doubt, goals galore.”

Chief Executive at The Football League, Shaun Harvey, said: “It`s great that Capital One and our clubs, are doing their utmost to attract young fans and help people enjoy Round 1 of the competition.

“Not only are they helping parents looking for inspiration for summer holiday activities, it`s also supporting the clubs draw in more fans and for many kids this could be their first ever football game.”
