Posh reached the third round of the Capital One Cup last season and will be hoping they can go on a good Cup run again this season but they have a very tricky match in the first round as they travel south to face former Premiership side Portsmouth.
The heady days of the Premiership may seem like a lifetime ago to Pompey as they now find themselves in the basement. They started the season off with a 1-1 draw at Exeter City despite dominating the second half and they will want to put on a good display in their first competitive match of the season at Fratton Park.
