Posh, sitting in fifth place, resume their League One campaign this Saturday, with an intriguing fixture against Colchester United, at London Road.

Our current form is good with Posh having won 22 and lost 8 of the last 34 games with only 1 defeat in the last 13 and that being in the Johnstone Paint trophy.

With regards to Colchester`s recent form, they`ve lost their last two fixtures without scoring.

It`s over three years since we last played Colchester at London Road, on that occasion Colchester United ran out 3-0 winners, time to reverse that score line methinks.

Posh will enter the match with their new signing, from Gillingham, Andrew Crofts in the squad. However, with Chris Whelpdale still out injured, Sergio Torres will continue to deputise.

Joe Lewis who was carried off on a stretcher, after thirty-one minutes of the England U21 international on Tuesday night, is tipped to start, easing one headache for Darren Ferguson.

As for our visitors, Colchester could give a debut to Jermaine Easter, the much travelled striker, who has signed on loan from Plymouth until the opening of the transfer window, in January.

Their manager, Paul Lambert, will however have to do without Paul Reid, Steven Gillespie and Matt Lockwood, all of whom are out injured. However, there is some good news with Kem Izzet being available for selection again.

So how do we see this game going?
Colchester`s away form is better than their home form and that may make the game a tight affair whilst Posh have struggled to score in their last two games, scraping 1-0 wins against AFC Hornchurch (FA Cup) and Yeovil (League One).

Darren Ferguson, chasing back-to-back promotions will view this as a game Posh have to win and here at Vital Posh we can see another narrow win being ground out, possibly another 1-0!
