Interesting yesterday to see the usual celebrities trotted out to promote our World Cup bid!
I`m a little bit puzzled to see we`re going for either the 2018 or the 2022 tournament instead of focusing on jus tone, but what do I know about the politics of it all.
But, it did get me thinking!
If it is the 2018 World Cup that we go for we`ve 9 years t wait, almost a decade. There`s every chance the world could have undergone a significant change, we`ll all be a decade older and, if our plans are anything to go by, Posh could well have emerged as contenders for the Champions League, but I`d hazard a guess obstacle after obstacle will still have prevented us from moving from London Road.
Our signings will be household names, we`ll be lauded as the team that rose from the ashes to seek well deserved glory, thousands of kids will be running around the country bedecked in the blue of Posh, Darren will have joined his father in being knighted by King Charles!
Mow some of the above may seem a little far-fetched but I didn`t start this mad folly.
It`s all down to those who believe FIFA will ever grant us a World Cup after almost fifty years of waiting!
