The draw for this seasons Capital One Cup first round took place on Sky Sports News this morning, and the Posh now face a long, mid week, trip to League Two side, Portsmouth.
The tie will take place in the opening week of the 2014/2015 season, on the week commencing the 11th August.
Returning Posh favourite, Gaby Zakuani, has this to say in an interview with www.theposh.com this morning:
‘It is a really long trip for both the players and the supporters in mid-week, but it is a tie that we are all looking forward to.
‘It will be a tough test because they are a big club in League Two and are well supported. It would be great to have a good cup run though.’
