Peterborough United are the bookies favourites to win the Sky Bet League One match at Gillingham.

Gillingham Away

Gillingham -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Priestfield Stadium
Date: Tuesday, 16th September, 2014
Kick-off: 19:45pm

Posh have won three out of three away League matches so far this season and will beat their record of three away wins at the start of a season should they win tonight against Gillingham. Posh did drop down to second place after the weekends goalless draw with Notts County and could drop further once MK Dons and Chesterfield play their game in hand on Posh!

The Gills are mid-table in 15th place with 8 points but are unbeaten at home in the League after winning two and drawing the other match. They have failed to score in their last two League matches which both came away from home at Oldham (0-0) and Coventry (1-0).

Last season, Posh were unbeaten against the Gills, drawing at Priestfield Stadium while winning 2-0 at London Road. Posh scored the first and last goals of a 2-2 draw in the corresponding fixture last season and were thankful to Britt Assombalonga for scoring his second of the match in the last minute of the game!

Despite Gillingham`s unbeaten start to home life this season, Sky Bet believe Posh will triumph tonight and have priced them at 11/10 for the win with the Gills priced at 23/10. The draw is priced at 5/2.

The correct score odds has the obligatory 1-1 as the favourite scoreline at 5/1 but a 1-0 and 2-1 Posh win are the next favourite scores at 15/2. The lowest odds for a Gills win is 10/1 for the same two scorelines.

Sky Bet believe both teams will score as they have the “Both teams to score” odds at 8/13.

Posh top scorer Kyle Vassell, who has five goals to his name this season, is the favourite to score the first goal of the match. He has odds of 9/2 to achieve that feat and 5/4 to score at any time in the match. Conor Washington, who has only scored once this season, is the next favourite at 5/1 and 11/8 with Luke James close behind with odds of 11/2 and 6/4 to score the first goal of the game and to score at any time respectively.

For the Gill`s, Cody McDonald has the same odds as Luke James. 11/2 to score the first goal of the night and 6/4 to score during the 90 minutes. Danny Kedwell, who is the Gills top scorer with four goals, is the next favourite with odds of 6/1 for the first match goal and 7/4 to score during the match at any point.

Eight different predictions have been voted for so far in the poll being run by Vital Posh to PREDICT THE SCORE.

The leading prediction is a 2-1 Posh win which has odds of 15/2.
