Okay, we tried, we tried and we tried again to capture the Grimsby youngster Ryan Bennett.
Unfortunately, for both sides, the deal couldn`t be made and it`s something both parties will have to live with.
However, you cannot help but laugh when the very same young Mr Bennett comes out with the following quote,
“It`s obviously nice that people are interested in you but the way I look at it, next year we could be playing Peterborough.”
Whatever does he mean?
Are we destined to be drawn against each other in one of the domestic cups?
Because I`d bet my last dollar that there`s no chance of Grimsby Town getting promoted next season let alone ourselves getting relegated.
