After seven League defeats on the bounce, Peterborough United’s hard work finally paid off as they outplayed Hull City, who were previously unbeaten at home, to win the Performance of the Week.

Manager Darren Ferguson made six changes to the starting line-up and changed the formation and the changes stemmed the flow of defeats as they were rewarded with a deserved 3-1 win at the KC Stadium.

The Posh manager received the award, a specially engraved crystal football, at London Road.

A 5-man panel decided to award Posh with the award. The League Managers Association panel was made up of LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Dave Bassett, Joe Royle and Barry Fry.

Congratulations goes to Darren Ferguson and the Posh team on their thoroughly deserved win.
