The next position has been decided to find out which players were best in what position for Posh in the 2011/12 season. The second centre-forward position has been decided and the winner was…

20. Tyrone Barnett

With Paul Taylor already occupying one of the forward positions, this turned out to be a fight between Barnett and Emile Sinclair. Barnett eventually came out on top with 46% of the votes while Sinclair finished with 36%.

Barnett was signed on loan from League Two side Crawley Town and made an immediate impact scoring on his debut as he came on as a substitute at Doncaster Rovers. He had formed an excellent partnership at Crawley with Matt Tubbs and had scored 15 goals in 32 games for Crawley last season before switching to Posh.

He went on to play 13 times for Posh scoring four goals, although the latter games were played with a niggling injury.

The powerful front man, who will this season wear the number 9 on his shirt, is now fit and eager for the season to start. On his last outing, he scored four second half goals against St Neots but will come up against a tougher opposition this weekend when Premiership outfit Norwich City visit London Road.

The team now looks like:

The final position poll is now up and running with the results announced on Friday, 3rd August, 2012.
