Yesterday the news broke that Posh have placed twelve players on the transfer list, for some it would have been expected but for others it would probably have been expected.

As we reported yesterday the biggest names amongst them are Chris Westwood, Sergio Torres and Shane Blackett with Mark Tyler, Danny Blanchett, Craig Braham-Barrett, Kieran Charnock, Alfie Potter, Liam Hatch, Scott Rendell, Rene Howe and Kwasi Appiah making up the dozen.

Apparently, they`ve all been told that if they wish to play first team football then they will have to leave, despite all having a year left on their contracts.

According to our sources, Barry Fry is the man charged with organizing their departure and the man himself has remarked,

‘It’s a long list of players and strangely they have all suffered because the team has been so successful. Some of them were signed when we were in League Two and I have no doubt that they would have made the grade at that level.

‘It’s a different story in the Championship though so if they want to play first-team football they will have to leave. The manager cannot see himself using any of the players next season.

‘We have far too many players at the club right now so it’s in everyone’s interest to let a few go.’

The harsh realities of life in a higher division unfortunately!
