After all the shenanigans that took place earlier this season I`d surmise that Cambridge United are quite pleased that our striker, Scott Rendell, was able to return to them on loan.

Initially, it looked as if the verbal fracas had seen relations between the two clubs become a little fractured, but, a deal was done and yesterday our neighbours were celebrating a remarkable comeback against Stevenage.

Trailing 3-1, from the first leg, Cambridge took the game into extra time and our man Rendell capitalised on an error by the keeper, Chris Day, to sweep Cambridge into the play-off final, at Wembley with three minutes of extra time remaining.

Despite the rivalry that exists between us, we`d like to wish Cambridge luck at Wembley because even if they are victorious they`ll still be two divisions below the mighty Posh!
