What do you think the score will be in the EFL Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Bury on Saturday?

Posh v Bury - Sky Bet EFL L1

Peterborough United v Bury
Location: ABAX Stadium
Date: Saturday, 23rd December, 2017
Kick-off: 15:00pm

Posh haven`t been very giving in the final game before Christmas during the last 10 seasons and they will be looking to add to the woes of basement outfit Bury.

Posh have won in six of those seasons while suffering three defeats with the matches leading up to and just after Christmas in 2010 being called off due to the weather conditions. The last two seasons have seen Posh defeat Notts County two-nil in an FA Cup replay but they went down to the same scoreline in 2015 at Blackpool.

Currently sitting in eighth place in League One, Posh find themselves three points from the play-offs although that could increase to six if Charlton Athletic win their game in hand. They`ve only lost one of their last six matches in all competitions and they will need to go on a good run to close that gap to the play-offs.

What better way of doing that than winning their third match in a row? Posh left it late on Sunday to snatch a 3-2 win at Fleetwood Town while they hit another five goals prior to that in an FA Cup replay against Woking.

Bury have slumped to the bottom of League One with just 17 points from their 21 matches played so far. They are five points from safety and have yet to win away from home in the League this season! They drawn four of their 11 away League matches while losing the other seven games.

The Shakers have won away this season when defeating Walsall (2-1) in the second round of the Checkatrade Trophy while beating Blackburn Rovers one-nil in the group stage of the same competition.

One positive that the Shakers have is that Posh have been woeful when playing teams in the bottom four this season but that is something that has to change for Posh though.

Can the Shakers win their first away League match of the season at the ABAX Stadium or will Posh make it three wins on the trot?

Last season, Posh beat the Shakers three-one at the ABAX despite going behind to a Hayden White own goal after just two minutes. Chris Forrester and Marcus Maddison scored either side of half-time before another own goal, this time by Bury`s Anthony Kay in the 52nd minute completed the scoring.

What do you think the score will be this time?
