Was yesterday a reality check?
Are we in for a hard, long season in a division where the slightest mistake can be punished?
Or are there more sinister forces at work?
Flicking through the tabloids yesterday (Saturday) it was interesting to note how out match, at Pride Park, seemed to have all the editorial content focussed on it being a Clough v Fergie fixture.
Indeed, one particular hack in a leading tabloid seemed to be convinced that next season we`d al be witnessing a Fergie v Fergie fixture.
In fact this same particular hack was convinced that Posh would do the improbable and storm to a third consecutive promotion, albeit by the play-offs.
Indeed, like so many others, he seemed to be carried away by the euphoria of the last two seasons!
Chris Kamara, you`re a lovely man buy why oh why did you tip us to finish third?
I think you may have put a jinx on us mate?
