The man in charge of the npower Championship match between Barnsley and Peterborough United has been changed and is now CARL BOYESON .

A late change in referee means Posh will no longer get a rookie referee but instead will be officiated by a 41-year-old central heating technician who first started out on the refereeing circuit when he was 22-years-old.

An experienced referee, he took charge of his first Championship match in the 2008/09 season. He has taken charge of eight matches this season issuing 18 yellow cards but no red cards.

He officiated Posh twice last season with both games ending in defeat! Posh lost 2-1 at Blackpool early in the season before losing 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest in April this year. He issued two yellow cards in the Blackpool match with both going to the home side. Two cards were also shown in the Forest match – a yellow card to Tommy Rowe but a red card to Forests Garath McCleary.

Barnsley were last officiated by Boyeson in February when they went down 3-1 at home to Birmingham City. Four yellow cards were issued in that match with both sides receiving two cards each.
