Peterborough United have released a statement regarding the situation surrounding striker Ricky Miller.
Posh have today [Wednesday, 8th November] issued the following statement surrounding striker Ricky Miller:
The football club wish to report that Ricky Miller is unavailable for training and team selection due to personal illness and related circumstances. We will be working with him and trying to help in every way that we can as a football club. The players` welfare is paramount and the football club will not be adding to this statement at this time.
Miller has struggled to get in to the starting line-up for Posh this season following his dream move to the ABAX stadium in the summer. The 29-year-old was a mystery absentee from the Posh squad for their final Checkatrade Trophy match at local rivals Cambridge United last night with Posh manager Grant McCann confirming during his post-match interview that the player was “ill”.
When Chairman Darragh MacAnthony was asked last night after the win over Cambridge where Miller was, he wasn`t exactly very complimentary as he tweeted:
Who gives a shit? Why relevant? Congratulation the lads who were here tonight fully committed/professional & did their jobs👍🏻 https://t.co/jGju0TKp2Q

Hopefully whatever “illness” Miller has that he recovers quickly and can transform his goalscoring feats in non-league last season into goals in League One this season.
