Swindon Town are favourites to beat Peterborough United in the Sky Bet League One match at the County Ground.

Swindon Away

Swindon Town -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: County Ground
Date: Saturday, 11th January, 2014
Kick-off: 15:00pm

Swindon have lost just three of their last nine League matches and have pushed both Leyton Orient and Brentford hard before going down to narrow defeats. They`ve also lost just two League matches at home all season while winning eight out of the 11 League matches so they have a very impressive home record.

Posh have struggled for a couple of months to find their early season form and have only won twice out of their last 11 League matches! Away from home Posh have lost five out of their last six League matches and only a draw at Gillingham, courtesy of a 97th minute equaliser by Britt Assombalonga, saves Posh from a whitewash.

Everything is pointing to another defeat for Posh but Posh are boosted by the news that Tommy Rowe and Danny Kearns are both back fit and fighting for a place in the team after lengthy injuries.

Will their return be the catalyst Posh need to get back on the promotion hunt?

The Football League sponsors Sky Bet have Posh at 21/10 to win the match with Swindon priced at 5/4 for the win. The draw is priced at 12/5.

The correct score odds have a 1-1 draw as the lowest odds priced at 11/2. A 1-0 win for the Robins is the next lowest odds at 15/2 with a 2-1 Robins win close behind at 8/1. The lowest odds for a Posh win are 9/1 for a 1-0 and 2-1 score line.

The current favourite prediction in the poll being run by Vital Posh is a tie between 2-0, 2-1 and 3-1 wins for Swindon. You can get odds of 10/1, 8/1 and 16/1 respectively for those scores.

Despite Swindon being favourites to win the match, Posh striker Britt Assombalonga is the favourite to score the first goal of the match! He is priced at 5/1 to achieve the feat while he is 11/8 to score at any time during the match. Nicky Ajose is the second favourite Posh player to score first at 6/1 while he`s priced at 7/4 to score against the team who he scored 10 times for this season whilst on-loan.

Alex Pritchard v Sheff Weds

For the hosts, Danny N`Guessan and George Barker are joints favourites to score the first goal of the game at 6/1 while they are 7/4 to score at any time in the 90 minutes. N`Guessan is Swindon`s top scorer with 8 goals this season. Alex Pritchard [pictured above], who Posh had on loan last season, has five goals to his name and is priced at 11/4 to score at any time in the match.
