There was a clear winner for December`s Player of the Month with a resounding 40% of the votes.

The top five players as voted by you were:

5th Place: 7% Tommy Rowe

Often the forgotten man who goes about his duties without any fuss or recognition but has put in a number of good shifts on the left side of midfield and left back.

4th Place: 11% Paul Taylor

The miniature terror up front who is building up a good image and reputation.

3rd Place: 15% Joe Lewis

A controversial selection with some sections of fans but he has fully justified his return by producing a calm and professional display making some incredible saves along the way. Two clean sheets also backed up his selection and the defence looks better with his inclusion.

2nd Place: 18% Craig Alcock

An impressive season so far. Has settled into both full back positions but at right back, he has helped steady the flow of goals being conceded.

1st Place: 40% GABY ZAKUANI

A rock in the defence who battles for everything. He may not be the most skillful of players (but he has improved considerably over the last few months) but he is very determined not to let the opposition get past him with the ball. He also has a very good understanding with fellow centre back Ryan Bennett.
