Blackburn Rovers -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Ewood Park
Date: Thursday, 19th April, 2018
Kick-off: 19:45pm

Posh are stuttering at the wrong time of the season as they chase a play-off place but with two defeats on the bounce, have they already put a nail in their coffin on their chances of Championship football next season?

Their hosts on Thursday evening are former Premier League Champions Blackburn Rovers; a side looking to win promotion from League One at the first time of asking. They are currently level on points with leaders Wigan Athletic but they`ve played a game more than the Latics.

Rovers are unbeaten in their last 12 fixtures, winning eight times while they`ve lost just two League games at home all season and they came very early in the season!

Away from home, Posh have won just a quarter of their League matches losing only one more than they`ve won. They`ve drawn 9 of their 20 away League matches so far! They`ve lost two of their last three away matches though while drawing one-all at Rotherham United in the other match.

Earlier in the season, Rovers came out on top in a three-two victory despite being one-nil down at half-time. Three goals in the first thirteen minutes of the second half sealed all three points although Posh did narrow the score in the 93rd minute but any hopes of snatching a draw were ended when captain Jack Baldwin received a second yellow card of the game in the 95th minute!
